Hook size when tying spinners

I was wondering if you all could give me some advice on hook size,brand,and what kind of hook to use when tying spinner rigs. Also what size of blade do you prefer along with snell length. Thanks in advance!!

i like size 6 gami's in red. usually i'll tie about a 4 - 6 foot snell with either a glow or red bead and a hook and have always done fairly well.

I use #4 octopus style hooks.
