DaveyG
I've been thinking about getting a fishing boat (cheap, nothing fancy) and I was thinking about a Porta-Bote because I don't have anywhere to put a trailer. I'd be able to put it in the back of my truck and store in in the garage rafters. But I'm wondering if it's harder to set up than advertised or if it's leaky or unstable, etc. Anybody have any experience with these things? LMITOUT
An older fellow at work swears by them. He is a big guy (250+) and he's claimed to take it out in some rough stuff. I believe his brother sells them also. He's a mechanic so apparently he rigged up a B&S motor to it and made it into some sort of shallow water boat where he can raise the prop and get into some tight places. Mud boat or something he called it. Probably would work real well for duck hunting or shallow running rivers.
