Non slip flooring

TooBusy

Question

I decided to remove the carpet from my permanent as I hate when the carpet gets wet when I drill my holes. I want to put some sort of non slip surface on the plywood. I have seen some paint in the cabelas catalog for this purpose, but at $60/gallon it seems kind of steep. Any other suggestions out there. I thought I may be able to put down some fine sand and paint directly over top of it, but don't know if this would hold up.

The sand thing works * ok * I wont give it more than that. It still tends to get slippery when wet.

The cabelas stuff you seen is probably the stuff for boat floors? It is rubberized and stands up to much more abuse, and also quiets things down.. not to mention, should seal out water quite well.

Roll on truck bed liner might be a great option also.. but still on the spendy side.

good luck
