Extended choke tubes for steel shot

I just bought a SBE 2 and was just wandering about whether or not to buy a extended choke tube.I was looking for some other peoples opion on this,and if so what would be a good kind to buy. THANKS

The best way to decide is to take it out and pattern your gun. Set up a 20 or 30 inch circle at desired ranges and see how many flyer pellets you get. If there is an acceptable amount you will not need a extended tube. Every gun shoots a little different. I shoot a Super X2 and had problems at longer ranges. My brother shoots an identical gun and it shoots great.

I would give it a few test shots at different distances before spending the coin on a new tube.

would the brileys be considered an extented they come out the barrel a little over a 1/4" they work real great for me.

I'd consider 1/4" an extened barrel. I use a Comp 'N Choke. It rarely misses birds.

i just bought a pattern master for my sbe 2. have yet to use it but the guy at joes sporting goods convinced me it was worth the money so we will see

It will be!!! I bought one for my SBE and love it, especially on the geese. Brings them down hard, which means less chasing of birds. It was well worth the money
