matthothand
Since moving up from north of the metro I've left my decoys and calls in the closet and am looking for a few spots to relax and maybe kill some ducks. I was just wondering if any of you know of any lakes in the Duluth area (preferably in MN) that might be a good place for me to check out. I've hunted the St. Louis river but don't care to buy a WI license again since I'm buying enough deer tags already. I've heard of two lakes that are decent but would like to have a few more options. outdoor ran
Matt, I don't hunt in Mn but I work with some guys that like to hunt Rice lake, Fish lake and Island lake (late in the year). How did you do on the river last year? Are you doing the Duluth bow hunt this year?
matthothand
I did pretty well on the river. Quite a few green winged teal and otherwise a good mixed bag. No, I am not doing the Duluth hunt this year I'm just sticking to Superior. Maybe next year if their is another hunt I'll be on the ball and get signed up for the class so I can hunt.
