PRFISHER
This is just a question, This morning when I went out to feed the dog there was huge flocks of black birds flying around, huge meaning a couple thousand. Isn't this extremely early to see those strings of black birds migrating. I hope this is a sign of good things yet to come with the duck migration. Any ideas? sheepheadslayer
also seen a big string this morning but they where headed north. I would say a couple thousand at least.
Nova
I have seen several flocks myself, but they just seem to be bunching up not migrating. It is about the right time for them to start gathering, but a little early to migrate. See if they are still around in a couple days. I'll bet they are just flocking up and feeding in the few feilds that are cut.
FOOT
Black birds and bees will tend to "gather" this time of year or go into a pre-migration staging. It signals the early start to fall approaching. They won't start migrating for several weeks yet.
