icecold Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 To all the vexlar experts out there I need some info, I bought this vexilar new last feb I used it 20 -30 times before ice season ended, worked just super, I charged battery 1 time over summer to freshen up, I am getting pumped about icefishing so I ttook it ,alomg in boat today and hung transducer over side of boat in this deep hole that i icefish during winter, It worked great for about 20 minutes then the flasher turned yellow all around the ring I lifted ducer out of water and it stilled stay yellow normally it will just show top reading when lifted out of water, I turned unit off then on and it worked good for 2 minites then did same thing, tryed over 3 times and did same thing Took unit home and put on kicthen table and pointed ducer to hard floor as in the test procedure in manual it ran for 45 min and never missed a beat, What gives any answers???? The thing is these batteries are designed to be charged every month if not in use, but the thing is you NEVER want to over charge for more than 24 hrs. It could be the battery(Im not say that it is) but it could be a slight glitch in the ducer. If it was my flasher I would bring it to Vex and have them look at..
