mnhunter2
My original plan was to use 2x2 in the walls with pink foam for insulation and putting the rolled smooth alumuim siding on the exterior and I had planned on putting a bead of pl-400 on the studs before I screwed the siding to them but know I am thinking about adding tyvek sheet under the siding for a wind barrier and was wondering if it the pl-400 will have any holding power through the tyvek? bobO
my guess is that that the pl400 will eat right throught your tyvek paper, I for sure know that pl400 will melt pink foam insulation. not sure about the tyvek but I would not recomend it. If you used the tyvek I dont see why you need the pl400. if you use those rubber washer self tapping screws into the siding and into your studs. that should be a lite house if you are just going to use that rolled siding. You will get some condensation when you heat the house but that pink insulation is pretty resistent to moisture. good luck.

minneman
I have a 6x8 built w/2x2's and the roll alluminum exterior, didnt use glue at all, and decided that the tyvec turned inside out made a nice white interior, stapled to the studs it keeps the foam in place and makes for a light weight house.
