What is this bug ?

Recommended Posts

That's an American Pelecinid. It grows to 1 3/4-2" long. They live throughout North America. The females have the long abdomens, males do not. Males are rare. It is a type of wasp, but does not sting. They drink nectar. Hope this helps. grin.gif
