0 eyes'
This is off the subject but, what do you think of that e-tec? A buddy of mine is looking at putting one on a Ranger... What is the + and - of it compared to a 4 stroke?
0 Marmot
A dealer told my Dad and me: 1. E-Tec is quieter than a 4-cycle at high speeds 2. E-Tec is lighter than a 4-cycle 3. E-Tec is more fuel efficient than a 4-cycle 4. E-Tec supposedly has less maintenance than a 4-cycle 5. I believe the oil for E-Tecs is a lot cheaper than oil for a 4-cycle. 6. E-Tec is better out of the hole than a 4-cycleI am sure the dealer told us more, but that is what I remember. I brought some literature home about E-Tec from the dealer. The literature only compared E-Tec and 4-cycles. I would like to see the comparison done with 2-cycle motors.I have not heard any cons about E-Tec. I am sure are some, but I think they are so new that the cons have not been communicated. I think it is going to take a couple of years for these motors to be on the market before we know the real story about them such as maintenance and durability.
