Garmin 240 question

I just got a garmin 240(stern mounted) and was wondering what others thought of their's and any tips or tricks for using it.

I have had one for about five or six years. The only issue I had with mine was that it didn't work good in shallow or weedy areas, but I put on a new transducer this year and that solved the problem. I think they are a good locator for the price.

The Garmin 240, although not even close to the top of the line in sounders but will definitely get the job done.

Tips and tricks, use it and experiment with the manual setting. Once your familiar with it, it'll do every thing you need it to do.

so far its been very easy to adjust the locator and change things in the menu. I would says this unit is very user friendly.
