Memo to Gardy : Bunt!!!!

Twice last night the Twins were in bunting situations and didn't even try to put one down. First time there was runners at first and second and nobody out. We were up by 2 I think (it might have been one). Shannon Stewert was up - why not bunt and put two runners in scoring position for Punto (who handles the bat well), and Mauer - Are best hitter. I realize Stewart is a good hitter, but he's been struggling at the plate lately and is a team guy so I put that one on Gardy - oh yeah - Stewart nearly bounced into a triple play and wiped out both runners in scoring position. The second time Punto was on second with nobody out and Mauer up. Joe handles the bat pretty well - why not bunt Punto over to third and let Mornizzle try to lift a fly ball to give us a one run lead late in the game. I don't know if Gardy is afraid to hurt these guys egos by asking them to bunt or what, but the Twins need to play some more small ball - give there bullpen a chance to win games in the 8th and 9th innings. I'm even going to start in on Lew Ford and his pathetic attempt at a bunt!!!

also stewart is a fast runner and a little juggle of the ball and you got bases loaded with no one out. We are not a high scoring team we need to go back to playing small ball.
