Sartell Angler
clutch pics / post Tom! Personal favorites are the ringbills I think, but it is hard to choose! Variety is the spice of life, especially when it comes to waterfowling.SA/wdw
Tom Wilson
Cmore, Yes sir those are all mine. I've been doing that kind of photography for about nine years or so, I don't remember exactly. Check out the bird watching forum above this one. I have a ton of photos and information about my equipment, and there are a few guys like myself posting on there as well and we have shared a lot of good camera knowledge and info, plus their photos are great also. Take a look at that stuff, but also feel free to ask me stuff. I'm on my way to work now however, so my time is short. All Nikon cameras, and mostly sigma lenses from 28mm-500mm. Almost everything here on this site has been from my D70 digital.

eyepatrol
Those geese pics are just awesome!!! I was told once by a guy that geese will actaully flip over in mid air to lose altitude or something, but I didn't completely buy into it. Now I've seen it for myself. That's crazy! Awesome, awesome pics. Just out of curiousity Tom, did you take those while on a hunting expedition or just out shooting pics instead of shells? Great job! Tom Wilson
Basscatcher, I believe a couple of those are hunting pics, but for the most part I get those type of shots when I can be in a place where there isn't hunting pressure, and I can be set up with a blind, tripod and the equipment I need to get them while they are acting natural. The ringnecks I believe was a hunting shot. It's hard to tell with just the sky as the background. It doesn't matter how many times I see it either--when geese start flipping around like the to slip the air out from under their wings--I just get awestruck. They do this when they want or need to lose altitude in a hurry. I've seen geese drop as much as 100ft in less than a second by flipping over like that. It's amazing, typically they do it alot when coming in to small areas like hidden ponds where they need to drop from above tree level to water level in a hurry. I just noticed your location was in Gaylord, I work in Gaylord at M.F.I. and am wondering if I might know you.Tom W
