Question on Garmin 172 gpsmap

I'm looking into buying a Garmin 172 not color because it is $200.00 less. I was wondering if anyone has one and how they like it?

Someone out must have this unit? How do you who have the 172c like your units? The only reason I'm looking at the 172 is I can buy a new one for $300.00 and the 172c is $500.00-550.00

I have the 172c that I purchased at the boat show last spring. It works fantastic. I have it mounted on the bow with a Lowrance 102c fish locator. I bought both of them for $880 from Marine General. The color units are so much easier to see and read. I also have the 188c on my console and the Lakemaster preprogrammed chip. No excuse for getting lost now.

I have one and love it. I also have the program for my lap top. I just record the locations of the lake and then down load them into the computer along with the conditions. Then when I go back to the lake I just pick the spots that I want to fish again and I load it into the GPS and then I just throw it in the boat and go.
