Night Bass

There was a post floating around last year about people having luck fishing LM's at night, specifically on Tonka I think. Just curious to see if anyone has been fishing the dark (not dusk) hours this summer with any luck? I'm heading up to the lake late tonight and will try a bit from the dock, caught an 18+ inch smallie earlier this summer at about midnight, but haven't really tried since. Caught it on a rattling jerkbait, will try that or a spinner/buzzbait tonight.

Any thoughts?

Although I have not fished tonka at night for bass very much, I have seen and heard that the commonly hit spots produce much better. I can assume that this is because of the heavy recreation and constant fishing pressure of that lake.

Seems like mother nature switched and now the bass eat at night to aviod being caught!haha

Night fishing for bass is a blast!! A variety of lures will work....some better than others, of course!

You can't go wrong with a black spinner bait with a colorado blade.....slow rolled or a yo-yo'd retreive.......
