Nova
I just finished breaking in my new motor and went to change the oil. I can't find the filter???? I looked in the manual and there is no mention of a oil filter anywhere. Is it possible there isn't an oil filter??
0 Guest
I pulled this off another site: The oil filter is below the engine under the bottom cowling. The tool kit has a L shaped torque tool to loosen the bolts that hold the cowling together.I believe there are 6 - 8 bolts. You need to remove the gasket that sits atop the cowling and it will come right off. The filter will be there. Very easy. So hows the new Warrior treating you? Have you had a chance to get it into some nasty waves yet? Do you have any pics?
0 Nova
Skindog, that was correct info. I did it last night. The warrior is awesome. I had it out last weekend on Mille and we had some pretty good wind on Saturday. It handled the waves like a champ. What a huge difference from a tin boat. I have had 3 lunds in the past and even the biggest one diddn't ride like this. The pro tiller steering is very very cool. Thanks for the help. 0 Doonbuggy
Nova - what is the break in period that your dealer told you? 5, 10 hours? Can I assume you like the motor? I am looking at a 90hp Johnny. Thanks.DB
0 waskawood
The manual for my 90 Suzuki says half throttle first hour, three quarter throttle for hours 2 and 3, and for the next 7 hours not to exceed 5 minutes of continous wide open throttle.
