Another GPS question

I know this has been beaten to death, but I was't paying attention . I'm thinking about buying the Lowrance globalmap 3500c color gps. If you have one I would like to hear your likes and dislikes. Is there a better one for a few more bucks? I'm also wondering if it would be better to wait untill next spring to buy one. Since this season is getting old. Also, is the nav's chip worth the money. I fish mostly Lake Superior and the st. Louis River. Thanks in advance.

I tried to buy this gps this summer and everyone was out of stock. So someone here must have this unit. Any input would be great. thanks.

I put a 3500C on this spring and love it. I use the Lakemaster chip and it is right on. The 5" screen is easy to read and the color is fantastic. No problems at all.
