Washburn County

I think Cooter will shoot you in the right direction. I have never fished over that way for musky. I beleive he is up on Eagle fishing, but hopefully he will chime in before your trip to answer both of your questions.

Not all these are in Washburn, but close. Sand (by Cumberland) Sand (by Stone Lake) Big Sissababama, Rice Lake, and Nancy. Those should keep you busy for a while.

Your best bets for musky in Washburn Co. are: Big Mckenzie, Matthews & Shell. South of Washburn Co. is Rice Lake in Barron Co. & west is Yellow Lake in Burnett Co. Also just to the east of Washburn Co. is Sawyer Co. which is full of musky waters.

Thanks , Big Mckenzie is on the list and I have buddy that has a cabin on Shell, but he hasn't given the 411 on the lake yet. Yellow is also on the list, I myself like fishing little Yellow, I've moved some big ones in there the past few years. I may also try 26 if the launch is not to shallow again, talk about a pain in the butt..

thanks
