Common problem with lund gas gages mine gage doesn't fall off full until there is about a 1/2 tank left. There is an aftermarket sending unit available from Levorsi Marine that is suppose to correct the problem. The problem with my gage is that my tank is located toward the center rear of my boat and the sending unit sits in the rear of the tank and since the rear of the boat sits lower in the water my sending unit is sitting toward the top of the tank for to long a period

Waterwolf is correct, this is a very common problem with the sending units on lunds. My 2000 did this for a while, then one day i ended up with a gas leak in the boat (went ot the ramp one day and found 2-3 gallons of gas floating in the back of the boat)
Lund had installed the wrong sending unit and the top had cracked off. Was replaced under warranty and i havnt had a problem with the gas gauge since (2 years)
I think the sending unit that waterwolf is referring to is the answer that alot of folks have gone to, to correct the problem.
