Fishing the Red River !@#$%@#!

I grew up fishing on the Red River. All my memories were catfish, bullheads, carp, goldeye, suckers and occasionally your HEARD of a person catching a walleye? Lately (in the last 5 years), I have been hearing more and more about catching walleyes on the Red River. Does anyone have any experience with this? How good is it, where do you fish for them, what do you use...etc.

Well I tell ya what.. Every year we are getting more and more nice Eyes out of the two river systems and there are some piggys too..

Just a few nights ago another 9# eye was pulled out of the mouth of the Red Lake River in East Grand. We have pulled out Eyes up to 33" 13#. out of the Red lake River so far...

Simple techniques as pulling lindy rigs, slip bobbers or just tossing a jig and bouncing it back to shore.

Fish on......................................
