Goodyear Assurance tires.

SCUMFROG

Question

Does any one have these on they're car, or know some one that does? I'm thinking about putting them on my 2000 rear wheel drive Cadillac.

What other tires would give me good all year traction.

SF,

I put a set of triple treads on our mini van 5K ago and have been happier with them than the set of Michelins I put on my truck. Better ride and cornering IMO. Both sets were 80K mi rated, same speed rating, etc.

I have Goodrich Traction T/A's on a Grand Prix and they have performed well over the past year. Would certainly buy them again. Greta traction in snow and in rain, not to noisy and good wear.

We have mounted a bunch and noone has returned them yet. They do come with a "if you don't like them gaurantee". The only problem that we have had is you can't put the triple-treads on wheels with wheel covers. The covers rub on the wheel saver part of the tire and apparently can cause blowouts. Goodyear sent out a bulletin on this a couple months ago so all shops that deal with the goodyear tires should be familiar with it.

I test drove an avolon that had four of these on it. I was just as impressed as when goodyear came out with the Regatta, which was and still is an outstanding tire. I have four on my Saturn and they are a huge improvement over the firestones that it came with!

My work van (2000 ford Windstar) had Firestones and durning the winter I was sliding all over the place. Goodyear has a Fleet set up with us, so I went in and they put a set of Assurance on, the ones with the cool tread. And now, I am like spider man I stick to the road and they work great in the rain. Go for it.....
