There is a season on crows, two in fact. Don't have my rule book in front of me atm, but I would make sure your in the right before you start blasting. I use either number 4 or 5 shot when I shoot. Its a little heavier than target load and does a good job on tough old crows.

I would shoot heavy game loads, crows are tough birds, and why risk crippling them. 6 shot would be about right for crows, 7 1/2 would be good, but does that come in a heavy game load?
