0 SCHAAKATTACK
I bought the 8 inch and I am very pleased with it so far. Reasons for the choice. 1.) NO gas/oil to mess with 2.) QUIET 3.) do not need to warm it up to drill a hole 4.) NO smell 5.) almost identical weight as a gas unit You can just use the self contained battery or run it off a car battery. I drilled 9 holes in one outing with no problems and could easily have drilled more. There is also a battery indicator on it just like a Vexilar. 0 pulsar_nx
I just got mine a couple days ago. It's a great drill. I had drilled 5 holes in 2ft of ice today without running out of juice. One thing I had to do to make it drill better was hold the handles with a death grip, then it would cut the ice without a problem.[This message has been edited by pulsar_nx (edited 02-08-2004).]
0 SCHAAKATTACK
Wow! I'm suprised you had to hang on so tight. Try bringing the auger up to dump out the shavings, this might help you out. It beats hand augering anyday.
