Will the record be broken?

Recommended Posts

I'm Muskies, Inc. and all about catch and release on muskies but would have no problem killing a world record fish - something I'm sure I won't have to worry about any time soon. 50lb fish are still almost 20lb short of the record - and thats a lot. Plus I don't think the formulas for weight are very accurate for those really long fish. Too many fish being killed most places as well despite the popularity of catch and release. A larger % of fish being released is great but you gotta realize a much greater number of fish are being caught than in the past.

Just got back from Vermilion today and I could not believe the size of those fish!!! WOW!! Seen a lot of those 53-57 inches!!! They come right up to the boat. They are also like 8-12 inches wide!!! Man those fish are big. Heard a few rumors up there that people have caught fish over 60 but who knows...
