JohnMickish
Interesting race. Roush went home with 5 wrecked cars, none of which where his drivers faults. Tony really had the car to beat, Mikey ran good but had a little tire problem there, taking out Biffle but that wasn't his fault. Coulda, woulda, shoulda's aside it was an entertaining race.Oh, I don't think you can say the slump is over because a guy finishes third without leading one lap at a track he used to dominate. Guest
Jr was better but the slump wont be over until he races well at all the tracks. He had an o.k. race at Daytona, but he usually was a dominate car and a contender. Its a long ways to the top 10 or 400 points, but this last race at the least keeps his chances there.Stewart was awesome and the Rousch cars had alot of bad luck. eyepatrol
Good race. Tony's car was definitely the class of the field. He looked just like Gordon did at 'Dega. Even if he fell back or started a few positions out of first, it only took a lap or two to get the lead back. Very strong race for him, no doubt.Gordon's car just wouldn't handle for him, and unlike 'Dega, Daytona is a place where you need to have a good handling car. The in-car video shots of him yanking and cranking on the wheel I think told the story.Decent finish for Junior, and I say decent because it wasn't but a year ago that he and Mikey owned the plate races. Some unfortunate accidents out there. Mikey looked like he had a strong car. Would have been nice to see if he or Johnson could have given Stewart a run for his money in the final laps, but it wasn't meant to be. Edwards looked like he tried to shoot the gap/hole when he got pinched by the 31 and some other car. Too bad as the 31 was looking sporty too.Good race to watch. The pressure I'd assume will really be turned up on the drivers hanging around the 7th to 17th (or so) points positions.
PERCHJR
Can't you just admit it he is a great driver that "WAS" having a slump??? I would think that you could give him some credit once in a while instead of trashing him all the time!!! GOOD LUCK AND GOOD FISHING!!! GO #8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND HE IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JohnMickish
Yea, slumps over. You do realize that he has to finish at least three spots in front of the point leader for the next ten races just to make the 400 point cut off, let alone the top ten. Hey perch (or any other DEI is the best team ever person), betting is not allowed here but I'll make you a deal. If Jr. makes the chase I'll post my best spot here and if he dosent you tell us yours. Offer good till Thursday.
