What is the best metro nothern lake?

I live in the northern suburbs and was wondering what you guys thought the best northenn lake was in the area.

I hear Coon Lake is pretty good for the Pike. Have caught few piggies on Forest and Bald Eagle too, and a friend caught a 40" on Cross Lake near Rush City a couple years ago.

Coon is a great northern lake. Find cabbage..#4 Mepps red/white-no tail...and hang on

If your looking for numbers, Lake George has a ton of 1-2 pound pike, good size if you want to eat them and there is plenty if you want to teach an inexperienced angler how to cast or troll for pike. The lake is also fairly clean.
