DCON
My LX3 has a rather loud ticking sound to it, if I can hear it while in the water I would assume the fish can hear it also, any ideas or comments on this? Is there any evidence of the transducer noise affecting fish positively or negatively?
Mr.Seaguar
all sonar makes a noise. Divers report hearing sonar clicking away under fishing boats. Remember Connery in Red October?, "One Ping Only, Octopussy. and Lets drop a nuke on Roger Moore." HUH? Theres a sure fire way to make the clicking stop. Forget it at home. Then it`ll be silent as a mouse. Judging by the number of units sold per year, I`m guessing they arent affecting fish or fishing negatively. The clicking attracts all the fish. Thats why sonar users catch more fish, right?
