bass in the brainerd lakes area?

hey everyone i have a cabin on whitefish chain in the brainerd lakes area and i normally fish for walleye but i wanted to try for some bass because the eye action is slow.

anyone have some tips?

i live in southern mn, but we fish gull/north long once a year. We always have good luck fishing the emergent weeds and outer weed edges with soft plastic stick baits (senkos)

Yeah there are lots of great placs on the whitefish chain to fish for bass. Some spots to try are Island Lake, Loon Lake, Upper and Lower Hay, Bertha just to name a few. Big Trout has Smallies and there are a lot of good sized ones if you can find them. Places to fish em? Outside Weedlines, Points, Docks, Reeds...
