0 Jarrod32
I presume you are talking about the Frabil Speed Shak XL...and that is what I would cast my vote for. I have the Speed Shak Cub, and love it. Easy set up for one person (though smaller than the XL), and I like fishing out of it better than the flip-style. I have not seen the new Clam up close, but have to believe that the set up of the Frabill is much easier based on previous experiences with the Clams.Just my preference... 0 huntnfish
I have a 6800 and like it, but Scheels came out with one that is a clam 6800 but with a few improvements. They come with C-style doors, which are nicer than the straight down doors. They also come with 2 extra poles for the sides of the house. I bought two extra poles to use on the sides when there is a strong wind blowing. The Scheels house also has a pocket that you can put you address into. The only thing that I don't like about it is when the wind is blowing, the doors are hard to zip up with the extra pressure on the carvas. Other than that it has been a good house. 0 Dano2
Thanks.Theres a couple around town forsale and also a smaller clam, but I decided to go with a little bigger one, since my little boy will be going with me next season, he'll have more room to ram around init.how much should a guy pay for either of these if they are a couple years old and pretty fair shape with no holes? (Rips or Tares i mean, heh)thanks[This message has been edited by Dano2 (edited 01-22-2004).]
