Hmmmm, if the season were 65 games long, the white sox would have a division crown winning streak now. But on the other hand its not and if my basic math serves me correct, there is still about 100 games yet too play. Uh-oh, that sounds like trouble boys and girls. Lots of time left for some classic underachieving.

Classic underacheiving? Walleye James, what are you talking about? How many people picked the sox to win last year? Hardly anyone. Who picked them the year before? Hardly anyone. How is that classic underacheiving if not expected to do anything?

Nobody picked the Sox to win because despite their talent they have been consistent in only one category over the past few years, and that's blowing it. If they keep assembling teams like this sooner or later they will get it done. Maybe this year, maybe not.

The Twins on the other hand, consistently get the best out of their staff by developing players and concentrating on fundamental baseball. The organization has built a much different reputation with the reporters and analysts.

I'm not all that worried about the Twins yet. Set all your crowing aside and you would realize the Twins would have been leading most other divisions for most of the season so far. That's good baseball no matter where they are in their own division. You guys are pumped up over the performance of your team and you should be, but I won't be worried about this unless the Sox are still out front Labor Day weekend.
