blacksheep,

I've never owned a Yacht Club trailer but I can tell you from experience to buy the best trailer you can afford. I bought a cheaper trailer to save a few bucks and had I not been paying attention I'd have lost a Pro-V on the highway. One of the welds on the frame broke and it was a near disaster.

I run a 3100lb. Shorelander under my 1800 Pro-V and have all the confidence in the world in that trailer.

Spend the bucks on the trailer--once you have owned a crappy worrisome one it will seem obvious. Nothing is worse than thinking/worrying about your trailer all the way to Kab, etc...

I bought a yacht club trailer for a small boat many years ago, it seemed to be fine, but it did not carry much weight. I did not have this for too long before I sold it, but it was fine when I had it.

I have a easyloader bunk trailer now, which is been very good. it carries about 2500# of boat, and I just repacked the bearings for the first time, and this is the 8th year. the old bearings were still good. I had to replace the tires also this year. like said earlier, if you carry a heavy or spendy boat, get a good trailer. eagle also makes a good trailer.
