Trailer Dollies

Da Beak

Question

Has anyone had any experience using a trailer dolly for moving their boat around? I've got a Crestliner 1850 W/150 Merc and it's a little tight getting it in and out of the garage. Just wondering if a dolly would save my back? confused.gif

We decided to try one to move a boat in storage. The ball on the dolly was too low to get the trailer on it. (trailer jack didn't go low enough) We have one of the crank up/down then pull the pin and rotate it up out of the way style trailer jacks. So the dolly didn't work out well at all for us.

I think that it is really useful if you need to move it in tight places and the boat is too heavy for you to push around. You can get one from FleetFarm for like 40-50 USD. I have one and without it, I would not be able to fit it into my tiny garage. In any case, if you do not like it, you can always return it. BTW, you need to have an air compressor cos the tires on the dolly needs to have compressed air in it. It is not made of solid rubber.
