Building Tubes

I bought some weedless tube jigs and tube bodies. Can someone help me figure out how to get the weedguard and hook eye through the tube? the only way i could figure out was to stretch the tube out big enough to allow enough room to bend the weedguard forward and push it through a hole i had made in the body. Let me know if I am not clear enough.

This is how I have always done it...

I have also started using rubber bands with much success. You take a small rubberband ( like the ones people use for their braces) and put it through the eye of the hook and it will hang there the second thing is to hook the other end of the rubberband on the barb of the hook. This keeps the weeds of and they are fairly clear so it can be used in clear water conditions. When a fish bites the rubberband comes off of the barb but stays in the eye for easy rigging after the catch. The rubberband tactic works on all types of lures as long as the eye and the point of the hook are in the same plane. (If they are not in the same plane you may have to do a little bending to get it there) This works quite well for me. I may have been a little wordy but this about 1000 words for everyone of Deitz's pictures. If this doesn't make sense i can try and explain it again but hope i helped or gave you a little trick for the future

P.S. This is not something i thought of i stole the idea from the banjo minnow fishing system.
