Looking to purchase a new Muskie Rod/Reel?

Alright I'm looking to Purchase a new Muskie Rod and Reel. Even a combo set will work. I'm waiting to get the new JR's Muskie Rod, but until then I need another set. Any help and ideas would be great.

Look up on Pete Maina's musky combo (Bass Pro Shops), it is at a good price and a nice rod/reel, IMO.. I like the St.Croix Avid series with shimano corvalus 300 bu the Calcutta is alot nicer and more money. Good Luck

Gander Mountain IM8 series rod ~ $70 & a Abu Garcia 5000 from Walmart ~ $35. A very good setup for around $110 total.

I think the Pete Mainia singnature series rod and real are great. Get the 7 foot heavy, its great for long casts.

Not too sure how much you want to spend,but I have always been sold on Thorne Brothers rods.

I bought the cabelas brand with an abu 6600 for $140. I got the 7'6". Nice combo for the $.
