This is my 1st post, been trolling the forums all day and Im impressed with the site.

Im taking a buddy fishing this weekend or next, he's finally getting hooked on Bass fishing and he wants to try Demontreville since he only lives a few blocks away. I have always heard it's a good bass lake but I have never fished it since I have a good 5-6 lb producing lake here in the northern suburbs. Anyone have any good pointers on where to fish or what to use on this lake? Im hoping to land him something over 3 lbs this year to really get him hooked. Thanks in advance for any tips you can offer.

Hey,

I've fished Demontreville a fair bit. I've had good luck with the jig-n-pig & stick baits. The lake has some semi-clear water so I've found that monofilament or fluoro is probably your best bet.

There are some really good fish on the lake. I've regularly had days with multiple fish over 3lbs.

Don't forget to run through to Olsen lake as well. Olsen is clearer than Demontreville. The fish should be moving up for the spawn so keep that in mind as you fish & don't forget to hit the docks too. .
