Old Boat

I would like to buy an old 12 or 14 foot aluminum boat for my younger brother. I don't want to spend much. I don't want a motor or a trailer. I have been looking for awhile and I very seldom see these. Anyone have any ideas on where I might find one? It doesnt have to be in great shape, it just needs to float and not leak too much. Considering the thousands of these there must be buried behind garages, how come you never see them?

Head to Vado's. They regularly have one out front with a phone number and list of boats and prices. If they don't have one out there, go inside and ask. They probably have the info there.

Don't know where you are from, but the Duluth paper has an aluminum 14' boat for $75. Can't get much cheaper then thet. Try duluthnews.com and type boat into the search engine under classifieds.

I don't know were your from either, but if you get near long lake in Isanti, I saw some for sale on the east side of the lake.

I spotted a few sitting in the ditch on 371 north of Brainerd last weekend. They were on the west side of the road. I think they may have been in front of one of the "one of everything for sale stores"

Guess it would have helped if I would have said where I was from. I (unfortunately for now) am in the north Metro. The boat will live and work in Alexandria, so anything near those places would be grand. That $75 Duluth gig is exactly what I am looking for.
