Anybody use the RAM rod holders that utilize their ball mount? I have a couple extra 1" mounts with the arms, but not sure if the holders use the 1" or 1-1/2" ball. I want to put them in the bow.

Scotty's seem to work good too.

I use the Ram mounts for the past 5 years and they work just fine. The newer ones are better and more solid than the older ones.

I also use a couple of RAM ball type. I like these because there is more flexibility to rod angle in both directions, up and down and forward and back. I would warn though to never travel with the rod in a ball mount, because if you hit a wave too hard they do tend to move a bit.

Thanks. I had a feeling they used the 1-1/2". My gunnels are too narrow to do a flush mount correctly in the bow area and was hoping this would be an easy solution since I had the two 1" mounts/arms already.
