Reel Magic uses? (Lubricant questions)

Slyster

Question

Seems all I see in the fishing isles (for lubricants) is "Reel Magic"... I searched the forums for it.. but didn't find any posts.. so I thought I would ask a thing or two.

I heard one can spray the spool of line with it? To make it more flexible and cast further? Can you use this stuff to spray the insides (gears etc) to make the reel smooth? Getting my reels ready for summer.

Does WD-40 come into play for reels? Or is WD not good for them? How about some sort of grease? I noticed some thicker grease when I opened up my spinning reels.

Maybe someone else has used "reel majic" and liked it, but I didn't. I tried it, just made a mess and didn't notice anything different. That's just my experience with the stuff, I didn't like it. Maybe it's just me.

If you want a excellent reel oil try Quantum Hot Sauce.

It is a little pricey for such a small bottle but I think it works great. Even on the ice fishing equipment.

The bottle has convienent tip that works like a needle.
