Waubay crappies.

Hey there.

Heading out to the area next weekend. Just wondering if the crappie action on waubay is still on? Also looking for some adice on good walleye lake! I've heard wauday is good, but there pretty small. any better lakes for eyes in the area?

Trophychaser, try bitter for some nice eyes. The bite on Waubay is great right now. I like waubay for those 150 plus walleye days. However, when you get bored with the 15 inchers at waubay, bitter usually will put out good numbers of those 2-5 pound walleyes. Cast jigs on bitter up into the shallow bays next to islands and drop offs. You should do great. I have heard of some nice action on Reitz which is a trophy lake. I am headed up to waubay with a buddy this weekend. Have fun!

I think the crappies on waubay are on a downward trend. I don't know if it is from fishing pressure or what, but we shure don't get em like we used to. I will say that when you find em, these babies are pigs. Good luck and let us know how you do
