Lowrance upgrade?

I read on a previous post that Lowrance would give you a gift certificate or something of that matter,for upgrading to a newer graph from them?Is this true?And how do you go about doing this?

I would also like to know this! I'm looking at the LMS480 w/gps.

i recently purchased the LMS332c with the gps module, which is the same unit as the 480 only in color. I was advised by the dealer to purchase the color unit because of better definition when using a map chip, such as the lakemaster pro series chip or the navionics chip. Lowrance was having some problems getting the 480 to get clear definition when zooming in. In regards to the software upgrade, Lowrance will send out a chip for you to install in your unit. They ask for a credit card number, but do not charge your card if you return the chip within 30 days. 800-324-1356. the 332c seems to be an awesome unit.

i have the 330c and would love to get the 332c. much bigger and brighter screen. if only there was an easy upgrade ---- and cheap.
