FISHER ED
This may have been brought up before but can someone help me understand the wording of the MN resident lifetime license? I am looking to move out of state due to work and I'm wondering if my lifetime lic will be good or not. Here's wording from the DNR site: "Resident lifetime license is valid even if the licensee moves out of state""A lifetime license remains valid even if the license holder moves out of Minnesota. The licensee will still need to obtain an annual license to hunt or fish in Minnesota."Is it just me or are they saying 2 different things?Or do they mean that NR's with a MN lifetime would have to buy a license but if they ever move back to MN their lifetime would still be valid? Thanks.
who are those guy
They are saying that you have to pick up a new license every year (If you live in MN or not). The new license is free, but a hassle to stop in to a license center every year - because most workers dont have any idea what your talking about or how to enter the lifetime exemption. Can do over the net, but MN DNR charges $3.00 internet fee - which irritates me.
FISHER ED
Thanks for the answer. After reading the info on the application I finally was able to figure out that they were talking about the annual renewal part.
Bigfife
I work at a store that does licenses and the process is actually very easy. Lifetime members have a plastic card with their DNR number and the code for the license. Enter in these two numbers and you are out the door in about 3 minutes. Ortlo
Thanks for the info. My two boys are interested in fishing and I've thought about getting the life time liscenes. If I time it right, I might be able to save about $100.Don
