Carp-fisher
I went out on minnetonka this afternoon and had pretty good carp action. Look for shallow water and a dark bottom. I was fishing with corn/slip bobber rig set to about 3'.
Lost
I found them in the water. Actually, the action was kinda slow up until 6pm. Then I started getting bites every 5-10 minutes. I was at the mouth of a creek entering the Mississippi using corn. Haven't seen hordes of carp yet. But I've heard of that happening in flood waters off the Crow River. I bet they're having a feast on the seeds and stuff that are now underwater.
csprau
I was kind of wondering where to go as well. I am up in the fridley/blaine area. -csprau
megger8
Probably one of the best carp lakes that I know of is Parley Lake off of Hwy 5 between Victoria and Waconia. You'll want to focus on the hole across from the approach but watch out for the submerged large boulders!!!!
