MarCum LX-i problem

This is my first hand held MarCum L-i I've set up and I can't get it to work it says lithium batteries I got the kind I use in my shock collar or camera but they kinda fit loose If these are the right ones then I noticed that the cover looks to be plastic where it goes on the battery wondering if there is a piece of metal that is missing that would be contacts.

Bill,

Sounds like you may have the wrong batteries. They shouldn't fit loosely and both pos and neg are on the bottom of the battery. The cover has no contacts.

The correct battery should be CR-P2 (which is 6v lithium).

Sounds like the wrong battery....I just bought the LX-i a few weeks ago. I bought the battery at radioshack and it came in a little pack...instead of two seperate batteries. I think it was 9.00 dollars or so...
