Not sure if this answers the question but my Fish Hawk has an under floor tank and to drain it in the winter I take the gas hose fitting for the motor off and place the hose end in a gas tank and pump the bulb a couple times to get the gas flowing and just sit back and wait. If the can fills up just lift the hose higher than the boat tank and get another gas can.

That's the best way to do it. If you cannot reach a tank due to height, you can disconnect motor connector at end of line, and run hose through the hull plug at bottom of transom.

It is a little more work, but if necessary it's ok to do it.

Be sure to always stay there to check filling tank, not let it overflow, a gas spill can be very dangerous.

I know of a guy emptying a large inboard tank on driveway, he left for a while then forgot it, gas drained into street sewer hole. Fumes got ignited from something (probably cigarette butt) and blew half of the street up.
