Does anyone ever fish behind the stadium in Fargo? Just wondering if anyone gets any wallys down there?

I believe if you go anywhere on the Red river you will catch fish!! I have never been skunked on the Red river.

I used to play baseball up there and there was always some 80-90 year old fishing there and he said he would always would catch fish. For catfish it probably wont be the best bite tell after dark but i can for sure you that you could catch some carp, golden eyes, or walleyes during the day.

About 23 years ago I caught and released an 8.5 pound walleye. Northerns and smaller walleye too.

Thats a real nice fish there brittman. What kind of rig do you use usually for walleyes on the red?

Long time ago. Cheap spoons or jigs with twister tails. Cheap is a must - you will lose a couple lures for every fish hooked. Dead wood and rocks!

If the Goldeyes are biting your arm can get tired too!

My brother used to haul in 10# - 18# cats before the RR built a reputation. While cat fishing further north maybe easier from a boat (river widens). The RR around Fargo is good too if you can find the holes.
