Recommendations for solid Northern Pike lakes and resorts in northern MN

Recommended Posts

Family is talking about taking a fishing trip this summer. I'm hoping people here can help. What are some really good pike lakes in northern MN? Quantity and quality would be great, but quantity alone would be fine by me. I'd have my own boat so I don't need to worry about renting a boat.

If bass and muskie are available on a lake even better. Thanks in advance.

These are some of the best Pike lakes I know.

In no particular order.

1. Lake Bemidji.

2. Lake Vermilion.

3. Upper Red Lake.

4. Leech Lake.

5. Lake Mille Lacs.

6. Lake of the Woods.

7. Moose Lake.

8. Big Detriot lake.

9. Rainy Lake.

10. Lake Minnetoka.

Those are just some of my favorites, I'm sure I missed some good ones. grin.gif

Big Winnie is a great pike lake. More for quantity than quality i have found, but everyday there are some fish about 10 pounds being caught at the resort we stay at. But its nothing too catch a dozen northerns in 2 hours trolling. And its also a great walleye lake, so thats a bonus!
