Was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can find new wooden boat bench tops for my lund fishing boat? I am replacing the old carpet with new and also am planning to carpet the bench tops, but I need to replace two of the old bench tops with new wood before I can carpet them. Any help would be much appreciated. walleyeking.

Not very hard to make. Get yourself some wood ,cut to size and screw down.You can take your old pieces and lay on the new wood and trace,then cut and the side that lays on the edge of the boat you can angle cut with a jig saw to a perfict fit,then carpet glue and re-install,will look like new.

LeeHarvey pretty much has it .. but use Redwood, or a similar wood that stands up well to the water. Be sure to seal it before installing it.

The Redwood might cost 3X as much, but it will last 10X as long.

I used to own a little Lund fishing boat and I did exactly what Lee Harvey says. Worked just fine. Good luck!

If you are lookin' to replace the tops of your benches...but then going to carpet them???

I'm in the process of putting new flooring and carpet in my boat. Going with BC grade plywood. Might be another option for you.

Ive used the BC grade on wood that is not on the floor or where it is going to get pretty wet.When i use the bc,I always use lots of carpet glue on the wood just in case of moisture,helps seal the wood.On the floor or casting deck,you could go with green treated and then seal with fiberglass,or glue again and then carpet.In case of moisture the green treated will serve you better.Marine plywood is to costly and the other ways will serve you fine,at least for me it has done well.This is only my .02 cents worth.
