jltimm Posted March 30, 2005 Share Posted March 30, 2005 Last year when I disconnected my gas line to my Yamaha 50hp 4 stroke something from the connector gas line that goes into motor flew out?Of course it landed in the water and I have no idea what it was?Anyone have any idea what it could of been? 0 fish-n-geek Posted March 31, 2005 Share Posted March 31, 2005 If you prime the line with it *not* connected to the motor, and fuel comes out the end of the line, you may have shot the check ball out the end of the line. 0 efgh Posted March 31, 2005 Share Posted March 31, 2005 fishing geek probley has the right answer,the motor has a ball check, the gas line has a T chech, the T check on the line pushes the ball check back a little to allow fuel to flow to the motor, this setup opens both checks.
