1 pound....I guess I'd go to a sewing shop and look at mono thread. This would have to be very close to that. What kind of reel are you looking to put this on?

Try the bargain cave at Cabelas. It's mostly used for ice fishing and most stores are well into having their shelves moved into open water gear now. I saw a few spools of 1 pound test in their the other day.

If any of the stores have any icefishing stuff left, You can get Berkley Micro Ice, and Berkley Coldwater mono in 1#. They only come in the small pony spools with I think 125 yards per spool. Just curious what kind of fishing for open water would you want 1#?
