Two Dogs??

We have one female approx. a year and a half old and just picked up a new male approx. 5 months old. They've been getting along great, but get a little carried away sometimes with the growling and biting each other. Is this something that I should be concerned about? Should I let them go at it like it is nothing, or when should I stop them?

Unless they are actually fighting, I'd let them go. It's a dominance thing and they need to establish that between themselves.

Do you know how to recognize when your female comes in heat? When that male gets to 10-12 months, he'll be old enough to 'do the deed'. Unless you want pups, you'll have to keep them seperated.
